It is a joyful day of rarely having a restless sleep.

The reason the sleeplessness feels pleasant
is because it is to go to Mt. Fuji, one of the items on the bucket list.

Mt. Fuji, Japan’s representative famous mountain,
is said to be accessible only to those permitted.

The experience of climbing the high mountain,
reaching up to 3,776 meters at its highest point,
is a feeling beyond words.

The sight of Mt. Fuji seen in the distance.

The mountain heavy with clouds presents a scene different from the mountains of Korea.

Will it truly be possible to climb there safely?

Will there be no altitude sickness?

It is a moment when many worries and thoughts make the head dizzy.

A strategy had to be made for the altitude to be climbed for the first time.

The first priority was to pack as lightly as possible.

Various sizes of pockets were needed to carry small items or accessories.

Fortunately, the strong sunlight did not shine on this day.

With the sky full of clouds,
the climb was rather easier.

The hike began at an altitude of 2,400 meters, together with the mist.

At 7 p.m., we arrived at the 9th station (mountain hut) at an altitude of 3,600 meters.

The clouds cleared, and the blue sky welcomed us.

It was the first volcanic mountain I had climbed since Hallasan, so I was very curious.

The wide and gentle mountain range opened even my heart.

In the cramped sleeping quarters, we caught brief naps,
and at 3:30 a.m. we set out for the summit,
finally reaching it at 5:30 a.m.

The first sunrise at an altitude of 3,776 meters,

the temperature, the scenery, the smell, the sound of people’s laughter that day,

still come as a quiet emotion.

Something that cannot be known without experiencing it.

A thought that began with a small curiosity became a bucket list,

and now it has become reality.

Where will my next be? I should write a new bucket list.
