Oncuration’s offline social club Onsite Club and Welter Experiment came together.

There is nothing quite as dynamic as changing the environment when it comes to easing the busyness, emptiness, and boredom of everyday life.

For urban explorers who find it difficult to “let go,” Welter Experiment and Oncuration planned an analog trekking experience.

Leaving behind the conveniences of urban civilization and following the rhythm of time that nature offers,
this trekking provided more than enough time to experience the true art of rest.

Orienteering that excluded the convenience of digital tools
relied only on a paper map and a compass to reach the destination.

The shining eyes and sincere attitude of the participants, who must have found it a new experience,
became a great inspiration to us as well.

And with hidden treasures placed along the way, how exciting the trekking turned out to be.

Marker ribbons were placed along the course to prevent participants from getting lost,
but their main purpose was nothing more than serving as simple guides.

Today’s activity was orienteering in the truest sense of the word,
making use of nothing but a map and a compass to reach the destination.

When we broke through the forest and reached our destination, the Seomgang River,
we cheered and applauded each other.

Some may have arrived after many twists and turns,
while others became little adventurers, volunteering as guides.

What mattered most was that we all reached today’s destination safely.

It was a day of great meaning, with applause of encouragement for us — the true victors of the day.

After pitching at today’s campsite, the program prepared by the Onsite Club was bushcraft.

Bushcraft is a compound word of “bush,” meaning forest,
and “craft,” meaning skill.
It refers to the act of directly making tools or building shelters using various elements of nature.

We searched for deadwood to make a pot hanger,
lit fires essential for survival, and experienced for a moment what life was like in times without electricity,
living in harmony with nature.

Through this outdoor experience with strangers, we grew closer,
and perhaps it was a time when we realized, even briefly, what is truly precious.
