On a sunlit day, activities with the Welter Experiment crew
are always filled with excitement.
Before the full arrival of summer, the scent of spring brushes the tip of the nose.
Opening Google Maps and arriving at the location,
the sounds of birds and the wind stirred our hearts deeply.
Even with plants seen for the first time, eye greetings are exchanged.
A wide yard shining with sunlight was found and chosen as today’s anchorage.
A stream near the anchorage was discovered, and air was pumped in diligently to do packrafting.
Above all, being with nature brings a sense of ease to the mind.
For a brief moment, deep breaths are taken and rest is enjoyed.
Luggage and food were prepared as simply as possible, only enough to eat.
It is a sign of the heart to consider nature even a little.
Now, grateful only for happy memories in the space that nature lends for a while,
stories not shared before are exchanged with the crew.
A moment too overwhelming even to capture with the eyes,
the camera shutter is pressed to hold this time in the heart.
